About the Author: She is, surprisingly enough, not particularly religious (read Why "Cathedral Building"? for the story behind the blog). She is in her early twenties, has a dual BA in Psychology and Elementary Education, and flourishes best when she has the opportunity to work in a classroom whether as traditional teacher, interventionist, or extracurricular instructor. She is amassing a themed tie collection to match various academic subjects. If she cannot work with youth in a teaching sense, she plans to work with them in a counseling sense. Right now she is doing grant-writing and other behind-the-scenes work for nonprofits who serve youth until direct service opportunities arise again.

Apparently the themes at Cathedral Building this week are “gender,” “suggestions that will lose followers,” and “things I never thought I’d be looking up for the education blog” (i.e., heterosexual fashion designers and pink machismo). Strange week.
