Watch live web streaming a The Donkey Sanctuary, Devon.
You can swap between the webcams inside and outside the barn and also the Poitou donkeys. Poitous are rare ‘mammoth’ donkeys.
This is so cute, there must be a way to link it to education?
I think if I still had a form, interactive white board internet I would do a morning check on the donkeys.
I’m looking at it a 5am UK time and the donkeys are surprisingly active.
Donkeys are my second favourite animals- after hippos.
One of my kids LOVES donkeys for whatever reason. Bookmarking this, thanks much!
I’ve always thought that, if one had a ‘net-capable board and downtime in the mornings (prep time, snack, in-room lunch, etc.), it would be a great idea to set up sites like these (or other animal sanctuaries, or telescope footage, etc.) as background. It might not be explicitly connected to a lesson, but it’s another opportunity for students to see another part of the world (or outside of it).
