Texas [first year] Teacher: Today, they won.
I’ve mentioned this before on my blog, but preparing to teach my class each day feels like preparing for battle.
Today, it was made very clear that I lost. I let them win. Well, I didn’t let them, but I gave them my all, and they were better.
I had to record a lesson to submit to a potential…
You are amazing. You make me proud to say, “This is what I want to be.” And your persistence is going to pay off even though you feel you feel like you “lost” this battle — because when you come in and they realize they haven’t chased you off, haven’t killed your spirit, that you still want to be there to teach, you’re going to show them that you’re stronger than they may think you are. You’re winning. Even though it doesn’t feel like it, you are winning just by going back.
