was that sometimes when music people get big they end up on Sesame Street.  Fame is not something I otherwise care about, but when that is a remotely possible consequence, it does bump up the desirability factor.

(I mean getting on the show would also have given me that never-ending cool factor for the kids I’m working with right now, but there are a hundred ways to be cool — like knowing how to make a pizza box solar oven or figuring out how to find an interesting book in the library or not being afraid of having to catch a pigeon or being willing to love a dance that everyone tells you makes you look stupid.  Those to me are far more important ways to be cool in the end.)
